Yasmine’s abstract for her first poster project was accepted by the American Society of Biomechanics this summer in August 2025. Unfortunately she was not able to attend due to a direct conflict, but there are more projects in progress for next time.

Yasmine wins research competition hosted by LA Dodgers

The LA Dodgers hosted their career roundtable event on January 31, 2025. There was an option to enter a presentation on baseball research in the categories of: “Coaching and Skill Development”, “Baseball Analysis (Strategy, Statistics, or Biomechanics)”, or “Player Evaluation”. Yasmine was thrilled to have her literature review win the Baseball Analysis category and be featured at the event! The topic was the coefficient of friction between the baseball and the pitcher’s fingers.
